The children received their personal Log in details for their Google Apps for Education accounts for 2015. They can access their accounts from any computer at school or at home. This account is to be used for learning purposes only. Parents must set up a separate Google login for children if they are going to access games and other non-learning activities at home. Some families are opting to purchase a chrome book for accessing Google Apps at school, although any computer that has Internet access can be used. We have many spare computers for general use in the class. Please note that if children access non-learning sites repeatedly they will begin receive a ban as a consequence.
We are learning about cybersafety and cyberbullying issues through the Hector's Dolphin website videos.
Mrs Cato came to the class for an hour to explain Google Apps and to make the rules clear.
We have 6 n-computers, and a number of mac books, chromebooks and ipads, for class use. Computer monitors help keep the computers plugged in and put away tidily.
